Today we celebrated another successful outandaboutauckland summer season alongside an incredible network of play providers.
As we reflected on the season, we couldn’t help but think back to 2019, when Pop Up Play first sat down with Auckland’s Local Boards to discuss joining the programme.
Seven years later, we’re still here, sharing the magic of play across Tāmaki Makaurau.
The magic of play is hard to explain until you see it happen.
It’s the shy child making a new friend.
It’s parents, grandparents, teenagers, toddlers, neighbours, and strangers sharing the same space, laughing together.
Play brings people together in ways that few things can. It breaks down barriers, creates belonging, and reminds us that fun is something we all need, regardless of age.
This summer, the collective impact of Out and About Auckland and its network of providers was incredible:
Over 6M+ Facebook reach
Delivered 905 activations
Engaged over 36,000 attendees
We’re grateful to be part of this amazing network and to contribute to the magic of play happening across Auckland.
Thank you to Auckland Council, the Out and About Auckland team, our fellow facilitators, and every family and community member who showed up, joined in, and helped create the magic.
Play isn’t just something we do.
It’s how communities connect. 💛
