Peace Be Upon you and Allah's Mercy and Blessings🌿

A pair of gloves. A helping hand. A young person who feels they belong.

Small beginnings can shape a generation.

We’re starting ZADIMA Wellness Corner at Masjid As-Salam, Glendene, West Auckland.

LEARN · EQUIP · MOVE

Together, we can give our tamariki and rangatahi more opportunities to learn, move, make mates and discover what they can contribute to their whānau and Aotearoa.

Stage One: MOVE
Our target is NZ$1,500 for portable equipment to support movement and non-contact boxing classes for at least 15 tamariki.

You can help bring it to life:
• Give towards the equipment or offer suitable kit.
• Lend a hand with activities and organising.
• Share your skills, knowledge or connections.
• Share the video with someone who could help.

Choose one way—or pitch in through several. There’s room to learn as well as contribute.

Insha’ Allah, we’re also developing a volunteer programme around learning, responsibility and community contribution. More details soon.

Be one of the people who helps lay the foundations. 🌱

Please set aside seven minutes to watch the video to the end. Then comment or message “MOVE” and tell me how you’d like to get involved. Please check with me before buying equipment.

What if a small corner in the Masjid could help us move better, think better, learn together, and take better habits home?

This is the idea behind the ZADIMA Well-Being Library & Wellness Corner.

We are preparing to develop the first pilot at Masjid As-Salam, in shaa Allah — starting small, learning from the community, and building something that can continue growing.

Swipe through the carousel, and you’ll see a sample of what members may find inside:

— , , and practical daily movement.

Mind & — , , habits, regulation and understanding ourselves better.

— simple that parents and children can apply together.

Islamic Heritage — reconnecting with scholars, books and ideas that contributed to medicine, science, society, character and civilisation.

The Library System — browse, borrow, learn, apply, reflect and continue.

This is not intended to become another shelf of books that nobody touches.

The goal is to create a living knowledge environment.
Read something.
Try something.
Discuss something.
Apply something.
Come back with a better question.

And alongside the library, the Wellness Corner will gradually include practical equipment so people can learn movement in the Masjid and continue it at home.

The bigger idea is simple:
Knowledge should change behaviour.
Behaviour should strengthen families.
Stronger families help build stronger communities.
We start with one Corner.
Then, if the model works, we learn how to share it with other communities.

We’ve put together this short guide to share a little more about what ZADIMA Well-Being does and how our programmes can be hosted in different settings.

At ZADIMA, we bring learning and movement together. Our work includes healthy ageing and falls prevention, cognitive-motor training, boxing-inspired movement, nutrition and well-being education, coaching, and athlete development.

Before starting any programme, we first listen and learn about the people, their goals and the environment. This helps us shape something useful, safe and appropriate for each group.

Have a look through the guide to see how it works.

If you feel a ZADIMA programme could benefit your gym, studio, retirement village, sports club, workplace or community group, you’re welcome to discuss and explore ZADIMA's programs via mail: [email protected] - or phone call: 027 299 7191 or visit:

🍽️ COMING NEXT: HOW TO DESIGN YOUR PLATE—WITH PURPOSE

We are often shown one “healthy plate” and told it should work for everyone.

But should the plate of someone rebuilding strength look exactly like the plate of someone preparing for demanding exercise?

Probably not.

In our next video, we will take the ZADIMA Purpose-Driven Food Pyramid from theory to the table and show you how to:

🥩 protect the nutrients your goal depends on
🥬 build balance without following rigid rules
🍚 adjust carbohydrates to your movement and energy demands
🥑 choose portions with a clear purpose
🍽️ turn the pyramid into practical, everyday meals

Because a plate should not simply look healthy.

Every food should have a job.
Every portion should have a purpose.

Your goal chooses the order. Purpose chooses the portion.

Which plate should we design first?

A. Strength and muscle support
B. Endurance and performance
C. Recovery and healthy ageing
D. Appetite and body-composition support
E. Everyday well-being
