Wild&Free.co.nz Our philosophy is to help heal our clients of disease and educate them in the prevention of disease Health is not valued till sickness comes….

I have a passion to help heal children and whole families by teaching them about natural therapies and herbs. Our body is designed to do great things including restore and heal itself, but sometimes it encounters “road blocks” such as stress, nutritional deficiencies, and environmental toxins that prevent it from doing so. Children and families today are overwhelmed with health issues. Things like

allergies, mood issues, behavioral issues, fatigue, obesity, digestive issues, and skin complaints are rife. These conditions are the bodies’ way of calling out for help. We all deserve to feel better. My aim is to help your family heal and have great health with natural products that work with the body and don't cause more health issues.

I’ve been very slack as my kids have got an older and not really baked much, I have never been great at baking sometimes it’s really hard to get motivated. But isn’t it great when you finally get into that frame of mind? I’m actually motivated! really pushing to get the family healthy again and off store bought breads and snacks. Sometimes it’s so easy to fall back into old ways. The sourdough is my third sourdough and it’s probably my best so far, I’m making some baguettes in the morning, I can throw them in the freezer for the kids, bone broth is done, these are some healthy gluten-free muffins no refined sugar just little homegrown honey and blueberries. And the tahini cookies are packed with calcium and goodness. These will help for my daughter’s lunches next week. I wish we could also motivated all the time. As I’m starting work next week for the first time in five months this accident was a real wake up into trying to look after my body as much as I possibly can. food

I have achieved one of my life goals, making my first ever sourdough bread. I have to say this is the best thing I have ever tasted. It’s not as pretty, as I hope to get much better in presentation. But wow, I can’t get over how delicious this is I have had sourdough before but nothing has tasted as good as this straight out the oven. I am now a huge fan..

This is quite Interesting. If you have any pain or Inflammation have a look at the video below. It’s been talked about a lot at the moment so great to learn. For me after the accident I find this very intesting.

Take a look at this video, 'what does fascia look like'

Before the drugstore aisle, there was the garden, the hedgerow, the root cellar, the kitchen shelf, and somebody’s grandmother who knew exactly what to reach for.

People used what they had. Willow bark. Elderberry. Nettle. Eucalyptus. Lavender. Yarrow. Lamb’s ear. Plantain leaf. Clove. Spilanthes. Garlic. Thyme. Calendula. Chamomile. Feverfew.

Some were steeped. Some were wrapped around wounds. Some were made into syrups, salves, poultices, oils, teas, vinegars, or whatever the situation called for.

And here’s the thing: a lot of these plants didn’t just disappear because the shelves got shinier. Many are still used today in teas, salves, oils, tinctures, steams, syrups, ferments, and home remedies passed down through families.

Not every old remedy was perfect. Some worked better than others. Some were more tradition than science. Some were used because there simply wasn’t anything else. But a whole lot of plant knowledge stuck around for a reason.

People paid attention.

They knew which leaves cooled the skin.
Which roots were worth digging.
Which flowers belonged in a salve.
Which bark had a place in the medicine chest.
Which herbs were kept close when winter rolled in.

That kind of knowledge didn’t come from a marketing team. It came from use, observation, tradition, and generations of people passing things down because they had to.

Before everything came from a lab, it came from the earth.

Had my lovely friend Pia come and teach us how to make sourdough for my garden Group. I have to say these were the most delicious tasting breads I’ve ever eaten. Definitely inspired to make my own watch this space. I’ve always felt like it’s way too complicated but seeing it in person makes it much easierif you are someone who learns like me get involved in a course. Is it much easier once you see it in real life.
