Volunteers Needed! Muriwai Half Marathon & Fun Run, Sunday 11 October

The Muriwai Half Marathon and Fun Run is almost here, and entries are down to just a handful of spots — if you haven't signed up yet, now's the time!

If you're not running, the Muriwai Environmental Trust would love your help as one of the 60–70 volunteers needed to help the day run smoothly. There are roles to suit everyone: parking, course marshalling, aid stations, event hub support, registration, prize giving, pack-down, and even wearing a kiwi suit! Just a couple of hours helps, and it's a fun, rewarding way to support an event that raises vital funds to bring kiwi back to Muriwai.

To volunteer, email [email protected]

When life gets busy, stressful, or overwhelming, looking after ourselves is often the first thing to go.

We tell ourselves we'll get back to the gym when work settles down.
When the kids need us less.
When life feels easier.

But the truth is, those are often the times we need movement the most.

Exercise isn't just about building muscle or improving fitness. It's one of the most effective ways to reduce stress, clear your mind, improve your mood, and create a little space to breathe.

An hour spent moving your body isn't time taken away from your responsibilities - it's an investment in your ability to handle them.

So if you've been making time for yourself lately, keep going.

And if you've been putting yourself at the bottom of the list, consider this your reminder:

You matter too!
