There are currently some clinical trials looking into Nicotinamide and its relationship with glaucoma. Here's a few things we want to emphasise.
1. Nicotinamide is not approved for glaucoma and its safety is unknown.
2. High doses not recommended.
3. There are possible side effects.
4. Patients with liver disease should not take these supplements.
5. Niacin vs nicotinamide, there is a difference between the two and they shouldn't be used interchangeably.
