Thank you to everyone who attended our South Island patient education events. We loved connecting with communities across the South Island and sharing important conversations about glaucoma awareness, early detection, and eye health.

A special thank you to our incredible speakers in Blenheim, Nelson, and Hokitika, Martyn Crossley, Dr Antony Suter, Catherine Van Paassen and John West for generously sharing their knowledge and experience.

We’re also grateful to everyone who asked questions, shared their stories, and helped make these events so engaging and meaningful. Together, we can continue raising awareness and supporting people affected by glaucoma. Thank you to the Freemasons Foundations and our kind donors who made this possible.

A huge thank you to Freemasons Foundation for supporting our South Island patient education trail.

We’ve had a fantastic start in Queenstown, where Tui Homer and Rahul Dwivedi guided us through the art and science of glaucoma — including a few gory bits along the way!

The stunning drive to Alexandra was a colourful reminder of why early eye health checks are so important. Despite an icy start, the warmth of the Alexandra community shone through, with Hunter Hill delivering a fascinating presentation on the complexities of diagnosing glaucoma.

Now we farewell Alexandra and look forward to continuing the journey in Oamaru. 👁️💚
