I had the most amazing massage with Linnette Breathe - Massage Therapy and Reiki today, and it was exactly what I needed.

I’ve been feeling a bit run down lately and, if I’m honest, haven’t been looking after myself as well as I know I should. Today was a much-needed pause, reset and reminder to take a little time for myself.

I felt a little tender afterwards, but also somehow a few inches taller walking out! My body definitely needed it.

So, if you’re feeling like you could do with a bit of TLC, I highly recommend booking in with Linnette. Your body will thank you for it!

Winter in Christchurch - the garden looks barren at first glance, trees are bare on a chilly afternoon… but if you look a bit closer there is so much beauty. Its a real metaphor for our lives, no matter how bleak it may seem there are always pockets of colour, joy and wonder for those who seek it!

Episode One – Meet Lexi

Hello and welcome to the very first Reiki Conversations with Lexi.
I thought I'd start by sharing how I found Reiki... or perhaps, how Reiki found me.
Many years ago, a dear friend of mine, Sirpa, invited me to experience a Reiki session.
Now, I'll be honest... I thought I was going for a massage! 😄
Well... it definitely wasn't a massage!
Instead, I spent the session resting quietly, not quite knowing what to expect. During that time, I experienced something deeply personal that has stayed with me ever since. I felt a visit from my beautiful Gran, Violet.
That moment wasn't about having all the answers. It simply opened a door for me.
From there, everything seemed to fall into place.
When Sirpa later offered to train me in Reiki, it felt like a natural next step. Learning from someone I already knew and trusted made the experience even more special. What started as curiosity soon grew into a genuine love and respect for Reiki, and that appreciation has only deepened over the years.
Today, I'm honoured to be a Reiki Master Teacher, creating a calm and welcoming space where people can simply pause from the busyness of life. Every person's experience is unique, and my role is to hold that space with kindness, compassion, and respect.
My business, Violet Moon, is named in honour of my beautiful Gran, Violet. In many ways, it all began with her, and I carry her warmth and love with me in everything I do.
