Heat helps sore muscles to ease off, aids sleep and restores that feeling of zen.

Experience the rejuvenating benefits of hot and cold therapy, known as contrast therapy in an alpine setting. Our sauna operates between 70–95°C.

During a one-hour session, you’ll complete three rounds of 10–15 minutes in the sauna, followed by an invigorating plunge. At Cardrona, plunge pools are fed directly by a natural mountain creek.

You’re encouraged to move at your own pace and listen to your body throughout.

New spot, same quiet 🧖

The Secret Sauna is now in Cardrona too, with golden hills on every side and not much else around.

Our wood-fired sauna is hidden in the mountains between Queenstown and Wānaka, with cold plunge pools fed straight from a natural creek.

📍 Where: Cardrona, between Queenstown and Wānaka
🚐 Getting there: We'll drive you up in our Troopy
⏱️ Your session: 60 minutes of sauna and cold plunge
🌿 Included: Transport to and from the sauna, a towel and a herbal tea
