What is it?
Herbal bath formula.

What's in it!?
Clove, cinnamon, ginger, star anise, lemon grass, fennel seed, rosemary, mugwort and red clover.

Why!!?
Piled into this jar is a good measure of heating and warming herbs. Warming herbs are used in traditional Chinese medicines to expel cold diseases causing stagnation of qi and blood in the meridians.

Cold in the body prevents qi and blood moving freely, and is one of the main mechanisms underlying pain syndromes.

When cold affects the meridians and organs of the lower body it is associated with symptoms like back pain, menstrual pain or irregularity, difficulty falling pregnant, frequent urination, weak sore knees, and conditions such as sciatica.

This herbal bath made with love for a friend has piles of qi and yang warming herbs, some blood strengthening ones and a measure of red clover flowers to touch of floral talent.

I'll let her know to cook it in a pot of 5L of water for 20 mins or leave sitting on top of her home fire to decoct. Then strain and bath for around 20-30 minutes. Keeping her hair dry and drying thoroughly on getting out.

Shake off the funk and start budding some new hopes and dreams. Also lighten up your diet to lighten up the qi flow in the meridians and aid in lightening the mood!

Happy new beginnings! I have some plans and goals and they are bubbling up to the surface now, tilling the soil today with inquiry about a pretty cool space to set up a nice north Canterbury acupuncture clinic and herbal bathing space.

What will you all do to prepare for the spring seeds to be planted?!
