Amelia came in with the idea of getting a back piece, and that was it. We had a couple of consultations to throw around some ideas, and this is what we came up with.
A bat chasing a moth through the forest at night. Amelia was open to all my ideas, so we created a large two toned piece with a flame inspired orange at the base and the moon at the top. I wanted this to feel cinematic and alive, like you’ve caught a moment in the bush at night with everything moving at once.

Huge respect to Amelia for trusting the process and sitting like an absolute machine through this project. Pieces like this are why I love large scale work, there’s room to tell a story and really build something immersive. Super proud of how this one came together.

Brendon and Nick worked on this banger two day tattoo at the New Plymouth Tattoo and Art Festival 2025. Nick was given full creative freedom and created this two toned witch as the main focus.

We always aim to tell a story with our tattoos, and this time we built the entire narrative around this witchy girl. We started with her, then added the lantern and gave it an extra twist with spirits trapped in the flame and escaping from it. The facial tattoos were the final touch and really pull the whole piece together.

Brendon’s leg is still a work in progress and this is just the beginning of a full leg sleeve. More will be added at the Roots Tattoo Expo in Auckland 2026. Come and say hi and see it in person.
