Hope everyone is coping during lockdown. Here are some teas that should help reduce anxiety or promote a calmer outlook.

Chamomile, Lemon balm, Lavender, Peppermint, Valerian, Passion fruit and Hops.

Red seal do a relaxing tea which includes many of the above. Take care if you are taking sedative type medications if a tea contains Valerian.

Healtheries do a Chamomile and Peppermint tea called Sleep.

Chamomile is a relaxant which helps you to sleep, calms agitated nerves and settles the digestive system. A good tea to keep children calm.

Lemon balm leaves can be used fresh, or dried to make a tea for calming the nerves. Used by herbalists for relaxation purposes, to promote restful sleep, improve mood and reduce digestive distress, much like Chamomile.

Lavender tea relaxes the body, reducing muscle spasms, promoting healthy digestion, balancing your mood and aiding sleep.

Herbs can have a very powerful effect so if making up your own teas, ensure you know the dosages which will be smaller for dried herbs as opposed to fresh. Check for any side effects.

Dill is growing super quickly at the moment in The Healing Garden.
The sprigs of dill have antiseptic, digestive, and carminative properties( relieves flatulence).
A few teaspoons in a cup of boiling water can be used as a tea to calm nerves, soothe upset stomachs, and promote sleep. Chewing the seeds has been used as a breath freshener, to ease menstrual pain, and increase milk flow in nursing mothers.
