🌿 A little holiday announcement from us! ☀️

After pouring so much love into our sauna and our amazing sauna community, we’re taking a well-earned little break! 🧖‍♀️🧖‍♂️✈️

While we’re away, the sauna will still be open and operating Thursday through Sunday, with the same hours as usual. 🙌

We’re very lucky to have someone we trust looking after the sauna and, most importantly, our wonderful sauna community while we’re away. ❤️

So please keep coming along, sweating it out, relaxing, connecting and enjoying your sauna time!

We’ll miss seeing all your friendly faces, but we’re looking forward to returning refreshed and recharged. 🌊🔥

Thank you, as always, for your incredible support and for making our sauna community so special.

See you when we’re back! 🌿🤍

🔥 Sauna & Blood Pressure
Regular sauna use may be more than just relaxing — research suggests it can support healthy blood pressure and cardiovascular health.

🩸 May temporarily lower blood pressure
After a sauna session, blood vessels widen and blood pressure can drop by several mmHg. This effect can last for a period after the session.

❤️ Regular use may support healthier blood pressure
Research on repeated heat exposure suggests that regular sauna use may produce a modest reduction in resting blood pressure, with some studies finding reductions of around 4 mmHg in systolic blood pressure.

📈 May improve circulation
Heat causes your blood vessels to dilate, increasing blood flow. Repeated heat exposure may also support vascular function and reduce arterial stiffness.

🔥 Consistency matters
The strongest observational research has found that people who sauna regularly — particularly several times per week — have lower rates of developing hypertension. However, these studies show an association rather than proving that sauna alone causes the benefit.

⚠️ Sauna complements — not replaces — healthy habits
Sauna should be viewed as part of a healthy lifestyle alongside regular exercise, a balanced diet, healthy weight, good sleep and appropriate medical care.

💧 Stay hydrated and listen to your body
If you feel dizzy, faint, nauseous or unwell, leave the sauna and cool down. Anyone with cardiovascular disease or taking blood-pressure medication should discuss sauna use with their healthcare professional.

The takeaway:
Sauna isn't a magic cure for high blood pressure, but the evidence suggests that regular heat exposure may be a useful addition to a heart-healthy lifestyle. ❤️‍🔥

Based on findings from observational studies, clinical trials and systematic reviews. Sauna is not a substitute for prescribed treatment.

Behind the scenes ✨
Ever wondered what happens before you arrive for your sauna session?

As soon as we park up, the first job is getting the fire cracking - it’s the most important part! While the sauna starts warming up, we clean the windows so you can enjoy the beautiful West Coast views, sweep and wipe the floor and benches, set up the table and chairs, and fill up the buckets so everything is ready for your arrival.

It takes us around 2 hours to get the sauna up to the perfect temperature. Some days the wind makes it a little bit more challenging, but we’re always doing our best to make sure your experience is as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.

We’re incredibly lucky to call the beautiful West Coast home and even luckier to have such a supportive community behind us.

Thank you to every single person who has booked a session, shared a kind word, or told a friend about us. Your support means a lot and is helping us continue to grow. We can’t wait to welcome you back to our sauna 💚🔥

Research suggests that regular sauna use can:
* help reduce perceived stress
* promote deep relaxation
* decrease muscle tension
* shift the body toward a more restful state after the heat exposure.
The heat creates a controlled physical stress. As your body cools afterward, your nervous system often shifts into a calmer state, leaving many people feeling relaxed and refreshed.
While a sauna isn’t a replacement for mental health treatment or health lifestyle habits, it can be a valuable addition to a routine that supports overall wellbeing.
