The government is trying to pass a bill to define what a woman and a man is under law. This is deeply harmful to our rainbow communities, especially intersex, transgender, and gender diverse communities who already face marginalisation, discrimination, and worse social and health outcomes in this country. We know from similar bills overseas that this will achieve nothing but violence, harrasment, and discrimination against rainbow communities and women who fail to adhere to strict social expectations of femininity.
