The Doctors Muritai now has a Nurse Prescriber clinic which aims to improve your access to timely care. Minor acute issues such as UTIs, STIs, skin or wound infections can be dealt with promptly. We provide support in managing long-term conditions including diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

We also offer consultations related to oral contraception and self-funded vaccines (excluding those requiring a travel medicine consult).

If you're not sure if this clinic is right for you, you are welcome to discuss your issue with our nurse prescriber, and if they cannot treat you themselves they will help you make a care plan that is safest and best for you with the support of our on site GP's. Meet the team and get to know the friendly faces behind your care!

📌 Zainul Isahak - Health Improvement Practitioner (HIP)

Originally from Singapore, Zainul joins The Doctors Silverstream & Muritai teams with a wealth of experience. He holds a Master of Counselling, and a Graduate Certificate in Mental Health and Addiction. He has also created a comprehensive HIP guide on Smoking & Va**ng Cessation, helping more patients to successfully quit.

Although much of his earlier work was in specialised areas of mental health and addiction, he is very comfortable supporting individuals of all ages with a broad range of health concerns. He is committed to delivering accessible and effective support, and has previously worked with couples, and children with autism.

Prior to becoming a HIP, Zainul co-facilitated the Addiction Therapeutic Community programme at Rimutaka Prison, provided counselling and group therapy with CareNZ, and worked as an ACC Sensitive Claims Provider.

Zainul works at our Muritai practice on Mondays, and Silverstream practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
