A huge thank you to the organisers, participants, sponsors, and supporters of the Geraldine Matariki Motor Muster for their incredibly generous donation from their recent event held in Geraldine.

This wonderful contribution will make a real difference in our community. The funds will be used to:
✅ Replace AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) in the Geraldine area that have reached the end of their operational life.
✅ Purchase Minikins to help train community groups in 3 Steps for Life.

What is 3 Steps for Life?
3 Steps for Life is a simple programme that teaches people how to recognise a cardiac arrest, call 111, start CPR, and use an AED while waiting for emergency services to arrive. The goal is to give community members the confidence and skills to help save a life before professional help arrives.

💙 Supporting kindness in our community 💙
North Aoraki Area Committee is proud to once again support the Kindness Collective’s PJ Project this year in helping keep tamariki warm across our district this winter.
The PJ Project is a nationwide initiative that provides brand-new, warm pyjamas to children experiencing hardship. With many Kiwi families facing tough times, something as simple as a warm pair of PJs can make a real difference to a child’s health, wellbeing, and ability to sleep comfortably through winter.
Last year alone, tens of thousands of pairs of pyjamas were delivered to children in need across the country, showing just how powerful community kindness can be.
