We are excited to now bring our beautiful range of salon products to you online. We have a holistic approach to skin care at The Darling Room, with a focus on wellness and genuine skin health from the inside out. We have a love of makeup so for any help, advice or colour consultation please contact us.

Tanning Prep!!!!
Lock in, if you want the perfect tan.

- 24 HOURS PRIOR exfoliate every inch, be aggressive. Shave if needed
- Moisturise after your exfoliation but only if it’s one day before
- DAY OF come in freshly showered and NOTHING on your skin
- Loose fitting clothing so the tan doesn’t rub off before it sets
- Chill for 2 hours
- Shower at recommended time making sure all the bronzer is off just by rubbing your hand all over with warm but not hot water
- Moisturise, it helps it look good like it helps all dry skin look good so if you’re dry go hard, if not, you do you
- Pat dry remember your tan will come off easier when you’re wet and the skin is soft
- After 7-10 days soak in a hot bath or shower 10 mins then turn off the water or stand up and scrub!

I’m Steph, I’ve been in the beauty industry for over 7 years and honestly, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else! I’ve been working in Tauranga, and I’m happy to now be in the Waikato joining The Darling Room team. I’m a total skin nerd and love helping people get their skin feeling (and looking!) its best. I’m all about finding what actually works for your skin rather than taking a one size fits all approach.

I also love all things brows and treatments that give you those instant results.

I’m a big believer that your appointment should be more than just a treatment. It’s a chance to switch off or have a good chat, and leave feeling like the best version of yourself!

Our salon is proudly family-run. We’re a team of three busy mums balancing care in the salon and at home. You might spy our kids dropping by, see them in our group chat photos, or find little Luna (our salon fur baby) asleep in the kitchen.

Our clients mean the world to us. We understand how important their time with us is, and we strive to create an environment that feels special for every single guest. A place to relax, unwind, and maybe have a laugh or two.

Anna! I had to scroll back a good few years to find this pic from when you first started with us. It’s been such an amazing journey having you on the team.

We are so sad to see you go, but incredibly excited for you to head back home and take on this new adventure!

You have been such a pleasure to have around The Darling Room, and I know your clients are going to miss you terribly. We promise to take special care of them while we take our time finding a new therapist.

Anna will be with us until August 5th, so if your appointment is before then everything is locked in! If your appointment falls after that date we’ll be in touch soon.

This was so much fun last Winter we are bringing it back. We will be selecting days throughout Winter where you can book a treatment, then add one option from our $1 treats menu (find the list when booking online at the bottom of our treatment list. 💆🏻‍♀️

To kick it off we are opening this entire month with any therapist! 🫢 Go find a gap asap!
