Kia ora

My name is Dylan, and for the last decade plus I’ve had the privilege of owning Studio 801 Tattoo ,Hamilton’s oldest tattoo studio. It’s been an honor to be part of the history and the journey of so many of you who’ve come through our doors.

About three years ago, I stepped away from 801 to follow my passion, working with rangatahi in the youth justice space and putting my life experience to good use. Since then, that’s where my heart and energy have been.

With the challenges after COVID and me not being present in the business, things became tougher, and eventually, I made the decision to close the doors of Studio 801. To everyone who’s supported over the years and trusted us with your skin, thank you. Your loyalty has meant the world.

From mid November I’ll be opening a small home,based studio for private bookings on weekends. Without the overheads of the shop, I’ll be able to offer some solid rates while still keeping the same quality and care.

If you’re keen to get tattooed at great prices, keep an eye on this page. I’ll post updates once I’m ready to go.
