One thing I notice is people are always after a strength program and want to he strong and lift heavy but dont always take the time to look at the connecting points.....like how much of a major role your core and pelvic floor play in able to be strong.

But the thing is....these things are supposed to go TOGETHER.

Your breath your alignment, your pressure management, your ability to connect to your deep core, shouldn't just happen duringa few rehab exercises on the floor.

It should carry over INTO your strength movements.

If we only focus on these things in isolation and then go into compound exercises without understanding how tp manage pressure or connect well through movement..we miss a huge connecting piece and risk the chance of injury.

This is why I am alwasy talking about foundations WITH the strength.
I want people to feel more comfortable moving, lifting, progressing and challenging your body.

When we combine strebgth training with better alignment and breath management....We see some really awesome changes and awareness of what our body is truly capable of.

SPD pain? Weak abductor? Trouble connecting to your low core? Need more pelvic stability?

When in doubt shiver something between the knees

But in all seriousness... I LOVE adding a block or ball into bear stance holds, squats, bridges, hinges and planks

Because when we lighly squeeze the block we can.
💫 Recruit the abductors (inner thigh)
💫 Get more low core engagement
Create more pelvic stability and promotes more internal rotation of the hips
Encourage better pressure management
Improve alignment + connection

This simple tweak is the thing that finally allows women to FEEL their core again

The block itself isnt the magic fix but the intention behind using the squeeze on the block.

Its the combination of: Breathing mechanics...Alignment....Pressure management....⁴Strengthening the body as a whole....Thats where the magic happens.

Adding in absuctor engagement into movment can be an absolute game changer for women who struggle to feel connected to their core or feel unstable during movment.

So if you have been struggling to feel that connection with your lower core, grab a pillow, block, ball or what ever you have got to use.

These exercises focus on mind muscle connection through using the body as a unit and understanding where to place rhe pressure in order to use it efficiently and safely.

My training will include strength focus through incorporating how to use the core through these movements.
Through rotations, lengthening, stability, power and overall movements that translate to real life movement patterns.

Not just endless crunches or using momentum to move!

I truly believe in training the body as a whole system and that is exactly how i approach any training session, this comes down to how well you can utilize your core. 🤍

In this set up your pelvis is slightly elevated (helping pressure move up vs down)
From there we're not trying to initiate any movement at the pelvis

The goal
Initiate from the lower core
Exhaled bottom to top
Let the pelvis gently move BY your respiration

That small shift you'll feel? Thats your pelvis gently moving into a postire tilt because of your breath not because your moving it!

Its a tiny gentle movement ..... but thats where the connection happens

Its about building that mind muslce connection awareness so you can finally feel the low core doing the work rather than everything else taking over.

One thing I really want to teach women is how to stop viewing the body as a bunch of separate parts.

Because social media LOVES extremes
Either - THIS one exercise will fix everything!

The body is a SYSTEM. This doebst mean one breathing drill will be magic and fix your life. Foundational work is hugly important alongside the corrective slow exericses.

It is important to grow your understanding and awareness of your body!
Not to obsess
Not to fear movement but feel STRONGER and CONFIDENT in yourself

So through movment you can connect the dots and feel your body working as a unit.

I used to ignore them and think they were a normal part of my fitness journey.

I struggled with letting go of alot of these and that is okay if you are experiencing these.
But with time experience and overtime i came to realize what what holding me back and where the real importance lies and what health really is.
Give yourself some grace it is journey for everyone to learn, grow and love yourself, your body and the amazing things it can do if allowed.
