Which Flu Jab to choose?

At Gilmours we offer three different Influenza Vaccines, and our pharmacists can help you choose the one that’s right for you.

If you are eligible for a funded vaccine, then we offer the standard Influvac Vaccine. It protects for up to 6 months to help get you through the NZ winter.

If you are 50 or over, you can choose to have the non-funded attenuated Fluad. This vaccine has adjuvants that help boost the immune response, meaning it will last up to 12 months (ideal if you are immunocompromised or planning to travel through the European winter). It has been clinically proven to further reduce GP visits with Flu by 36%.
