FATHER’S DAY RAFFLE

Let’s celebrate our Dad’s, Grandad’s, stepdad’s, fur baby dad’s or the incredible mums out there doing double duty all while supporting a local charity by buying a raffle ticket.

The Amputee Society of Hawkes Bay/East Coast Inc has put together a box of goodies and the bonus ball in Saturday nights lotto draw will decide the winner so grab your tickets now 🎫

What a privilege for Vikki and I to attend An Afternoon with Dame Sophie Pascoe yesterday 🥇🏊🏼‍♀️

Sophie shared so openly about her journey, the highs, the challenges, life beyond competitive swimming and what she’s learned along the way.

For our amputee and limb difference community, there’s something pretty special about seeing someone who has represented New Zealand on the world stage speak so honestly about resilience, mental health, identity and embracing what comes next.

An inspiring afternoon with plenty of laughs, perspective and a few great reminders that our differences never have to define our possibilities.

Thank you, Sophie, for continuing to inspire both in and out of the pool. 🇳🇿💛

Great turnout at the Coffee Catch-Up last weekend. Lovely to see the connections made and good friends catching up.

Outward Bound NZ are offering 2 incredible opportunities for youth and adult amputees and those living with limb difference to attend upcoming Outward Bound programmes. See posters below and feel free to contact us for more information.

For the Youth Activate programme they have 3 scholarships left worth $3610*
*Whanau will need to pay for return travel to Picton and the cost of a GP appointment to get an Outward Bound Medical form completed.
