Some skin concerns benefit from more than one treatment.

BBL® HERO™ and HALO® work differently, which means they can complement each other as part of a personalised treatment plan.

BBL® HERO™ targets pigmentation, redness and overall skin quality.

HALO® works deeper within the skin to improve texture, fine lines and signs of sun damage.

Combined, they can deliver comprehensive skin rejuvenation for suitable patients.

Our BBL® HERO™ + HALO® Bundle includes:-

2 x BBL® HERO™ + 1 x HALO® treatments

Why do we often recommend a series of BBL® treatments?

While many patients notice an improvement after their first BBL® HERO™ treatment, each session builds on the last.

A series of treatments allows us to continue targeting pigmentation, redness and sun damage while supporting healthier-looking, more even skin over time.

Our BBL® HERO™ Bundle includes:

3 x BBL® HERO™ treatments
$1,440 | Save 20%

Every treatment plan starts with a consultation, where we’ll assess your skin and recommend the approach that’s right for you.

Today is Daffodil Day, a time to stand with New Zealanders and whānau affected by cancer.

At Dermatology Hawke’s Bay, we see every day how important awareness, early detection and access to care can be. Skin cancer remains New Zealand’s most common cancer, and noticing changes early can make a real difference.

This Daffodil Day, we’re acknowledging the work of Cancer Society New Zealand and the support they provide through care, research, education and advocacy.

You can book directly with Dermatology Hawke’s Bay, no GP referral required.

That means your assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning can begin within one specialist practice.

The benefit is not just convenience.

It is continuity: the same specialist-led team can assess the concern, explain what it means, and guide what happens next.

A little Gold Coast sunshine, a lot of learning and two days spent with the wider Sciton community.

Members of our team recently attended Sciton UP Xchange 2026, bringing together practitioners and industry experts to talk laser technology, treatment techniques, patient experience and plenty more.

With Sciton technology already an important part of the skin appearance services we offer at Dermatology Hawke’s Bay, it was a great chance to build on what we know, hear how others are using the technology and bring some fresh ideas back to the clinic.

There may also have been time for a drink or two along the way. Read more in the News section on our website.

AI can give you general information.
A dermatologist can assess the symptom you did not know to ask about.

That difference matters.
Skin concerns are not always obvious, and the most important detail is not always the one you noticed first.

At Dermatology Hawke’s Bay, we assess your skin in context: what you have noticed, what has changed, what we can see, and what may need monitoring, treatment or further investigation.

Online information can be useful.
Specialist assessment gives you an answer based on your skin.
No GP referral required.

Skin conditions do not always read like textbook examples.

Rosacea can look like acne.
Psoriasis can look like eczema.
Some skin cancers can look like dry, irritated or slow-healing patches.

That is why self-diagnosis can only take you so far.

A specialist assessment looks at the appearance of the skin, the pattern of symptoms, your history, and how the concern has changed over time.

Getting the right diagnosis matters, because the right treatment depends on knowing what you are actually dealing with.

A skin assessment starts before we look through a dermatoscope.

We’ll often ask:-

~ How long has it been there?
~ Has it changed?
~ Does it itch, bleed, crust or heal then return?
~ Have you had anything similar before?
~ Is there a personal or family history of skin cancer?

Those details matter.

They help us understand whether something is new, changing, recurring or behaving in a way that needs closer assessment.

Specialist dermatology care is not just about looking at the skin.
It is about understanding the full picture.
