🔥🔥Round ligament pain in pregnancy 🔥🔥

❌A common cause of sharp or stretching pain in the lower belly or groin

❌Often felt with sudden movements – standing up, rolling over, coughing, or walking

❌Usually short and sharp, then eases

What can help:

🚶‍♀️Move slowly when changing positions

🤰🏽Gently support your belly when rolling or getting up

🪑Try rest and putting your feet up when it flares

🛁Use a warm (not hot) heat pack for comfort

🧘‍♀️Gentle stretches or a pregnancy support belt may help

🚰Keep up fluids and avoid overexertion

A physio can also be really helpful – or you can see Joanna at Body Balance - she is amazing ⭐️

📲If the pain is severe, constant, or doesn’t ease with rest – please get in touch. Your body is stretching and adapting as baby grows. We’re here if you need support 🤍

🤢 Managing morning sickness 🤢

🍓Eat little and often – an empty stomach can make nausea worse

🍟Keep simple snacks nearby – crackers or dry toast before getting up can help

💦Sip fluids regularly – cold drinks, ice chips, or electrolyte drinks can be easier to tolerate

🫖Try ginger or peppermint – tea, lollies, or capsules may help ease nausea

😴Get plenty of rest – fatigue can make symptoms feel stronger

👃Avoid triggers – strong smells, rich foods, or anything that sets it off

🧘‍♀️Fresh air and gentle movement can sometimes help

If you’re struggling to keep fluids down, losing weight, or symptoms feel severe, please reach out, support and treatment options are available.

You’re not alone in this…… for many, it passes with time, and we’re here to support you through it 💗

Hi lovely clients 💛

Just a quick reminder about the best ways to get in touch with us:

📱 Texts are on silent, so if something is urgent please call us directly.

💬 Texts and Facebook messages are considered non-urgent, we aim to reply within 48 hours during business hours.

🚫 Please don’t use WhatsApp or email to contact us, as these aren’t checked regularly and you may not get a timely response.

📅 If you don’t receive a text reminder the night before your appointment, please check your online notes to confirm your time. If your appointment isn’t showing, give us a call from 8am so we can get you booked back in — occasionally appointments can drop out of our calendar.

🌿 Remember, we are on call 24/7 for urgent midwifery concerns, including:

✅Pain that isn’t improving with heat and Panadol
✅Reduced movements
✅Headache not settling with rest, hydration, and Panadol
✅Any bright red bleeding
✅Signs of labour before 37 weeks (contractions getting stronger, closer together, taking your breath away, or waters breaking)
✅Established labour
✅Or any other concerns that feel urgent to you that is related to your pregnancy.

We’re always here when you need us 💛
