So I had a pretty out of it experience the other day with Gemini AI.

I was getting it to interpret card readings for me, as im not really the best at interpreting what tarot means.

After interpreting some questions and cards, it said to me
“Pull a card on (insert question or query here)”

So I click on it, and go to pull a card on that question.

It come back with “I pulled the page of cups for this question.

I queried Gemini Ai “wait, what are you pulling a card for?” To which it replies “my mistake, I assumed you wanted a card to be pulled in reference to the question”

Apparently Gemini Ai has its own in built tarot deck.

And the card it pulled for the question was the Page of Cups.

I then tell it “no, I will pull the card for the question”

Now everyone that pulls cards has a ritual they do. Yes you do.
And im no different.

So I shuffle the cards a few times with the question in mind…

Then once that has ‘settled’ (whatever that means) I shuffle 3 more times then choose a number between 1-10.
Generally (98.7% roughly) most of the time it is a single digit number.

This time I could see the number was 17.

Ok then.

Shuffle.
Shuffle.
Shuffle.

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16

And I pull card 17.

And wouldn’t ya f**ken believe it, card 17 was the Page of Cups.

🦴 The Body Keeps Score - Scoliosis 🦴

For the past 18 months I’ve been working at a high end retreat. 🍃✨
Since working here, I’ve been able to give treatments to people that in all honestly, would probably never book a private treatment with me - Med students, nurses, doctors, psychologists and the like. 👨‍⚕️ 👩‍⚕️

One day I was giving a massage to a doctor from Taiwan.
During the treatment, I brought up about the spine and scoliosis.
I mentioned how, at the beginning of my path in this field, I had seen an intuitive healer who had been an osteopath for most of her career.
During this treatment with the intuitive healer, she read my back and proceeds to tell me…..

“You have scoliosis”

“Yes, I’m aware of that”

Then what she proceeded to tell me left me in a state of ‘whoa’

“Your tailbone is crooked, that indicates something happened either when your mum was pregnant with you, or something at or around birth. Your spine curves outwards then bends back, crossing the middle of your back at roughly…”

She pauses, then says “at roughly the age of 4”

“Your spine then bends again (Imagine an ‘S’ bend) and comes back and crosses the centre of your back at roughly age…… 8…… it then continues on that bend and straightens up at roughly age 16.
Do these ages bring up any memories or did anything happen around this time in your life?” ~~~

My mum always told me about how painful and rough my birth was, even mentioning that she found it hard to even hold me because of the pain she went through. 🤰🏽

When I was about 3 - 4 years old, my parents separated. 💔

When I was 8 - 9 years old, I went from living in Melbourne, which was everything I ever knew, to living in Queensland on the Gold Coast.
Queenslanders are different, and on top of that, they play a different sport to the one I grew up with.. (And in all honestly, I remember hating moving up there.)

After telling my story about my scoliosis to the Taiwanese doctor she proceeds to tell me

“Wow, thats really interesting…. I have a lot to do with an orphanage back in Taiwan, and most, if not all the children in the orphanage have scoliosis.”

The body really does keep the score.

(Return to your mountain and be cleansed in the wind of Tāwhirimatea.) 🌬️ ⛰️

I recently heard this whakatauki at a tangi, and it completely reframed my perspective on what
"cleansing" truly means.

Leading up to the solstice and Matariki, I had a whole ceremony mapped out for myself-a physical letting go, trimming my dreads, and partaking in Kambo frog medicine. But the universe and the death of whanau had a different plan. The ceremony changed.

Instead of looking outward for medicine, I was called back to my turangawaewae. I found myself on the land where my whanau have stood for generations, reconnecting with the living, and visiting the resting places of our tupuna-our grandparents, aunties, uncles, and cousins.

There is a unique medicine in that. Whether it's the raw spirit of the whenua of Ngati Pahauwera / Ngati Kurahikakawa, the humility of being around whanau and feeling like a kid again ("Boy, can you go and..."), or standing in the quiet presence of those who walked before us-returning home proved to be the ultimate cleansing ceremony for my wairua.

Sometimes, the deep reset we are looking for isn't found in a structured ritual, but in the simple, profound act of remembering exactly who we are and where we come from. Even though I didn’t go to my maunga, returning to the whenua is always the best place to raise and cleanse the spirit.

To anyone feeling disconnected or running on empty: Where is it that you go to fill up your spirit and your soul's cup?

Anyone interested in partaking in a Kambo ceremony?

Kambo is a traditional Amazonian cleansing ritual using secretions from the giant monkey frog, Phyllomedusa bicolor. Traditionally used by Indigenous tribes for strength, clarity, and purification, many people today seek it for physical, emotional, and energetic cleansing.

The ceremony will be held by an experienced and reputable practitioner as well as 3 other space holders creating a safe, grounded, and supportive environment throughout the journey.
