Just a friendly reminder that Tuuhono Hauora will be closed over the Matariki weekend on Friday 10 July and Saturday 11 July 2026.

As we celebrate Matariki, let’s all take a moment to reflect on the year that has been, honour our loved ones who have passed, cherish the present with our whaanau, and set intentions and goals for the year ahead 🕊️.

Whether it’s as a large roopuu in your haapori, whispering the names of your loved ones who have passed during hautapu, preparing kai for our atua, or simply spending quiet time with those closest to you, wherever you are during these moments, may your heart be filled with aroha, remembrance, and hope ✨🌱.

May this Matariki bring healing, new beginnings, and blessings to you and your whaanau.

What a week! ❤️

Our hearts are so full of pride watching the incredible talent, passion, and aroha shared on both stages. Every performance was something special, and it’s clear just how much hard mahi goes on behind the scenes.

A huge mihi to all the Kaihaka over the week. You should all be so proud ✨.

A special shout-out to all of our Wharekura who proudly represented Tainui at the Secondary Kapa Haka Nationals, and to our amazing ruruhi koroheke who took the stage at Taikura Kapa Haka. You had us smiling, crying, cheering, and feeling every bit of pride. You all absolutely smashed it!

Thank you for sharing your taonga with us and reminding us just how lucky we are to be Maaori. Our reo, our tikanga, our waiata, our haka—there’s nothing like it.

As we transition into the Maaori New Year, we embrace all things Te Ao Maaori and celebrate the richness of our culture, language, and traditions. ✨

This week, we begin by acknowledging our kura tamariki as they take to the stage with pride and confidence.

E mihi ana ki a koutou katoa e tuu ana ki te whakakanohi i oo koutou kura, oo koutou iwi, me ngaa tuupuna kua whetuurangitia. May you stand tall, perform with pride, and carry the strength and mana of those who have gone before you.
