Good Morning,

It's been 2 weeks since the fire at Barry Roberts Pharmacy.

We just wanted to send out a big thank you to all our patients and local community for all the kind messages and thoughts. Also, we wanted to say a big thank you to all the medical practices and other pharmacies in Huntly for looking after our patients over the last 2 weeks. We know it has not been easy.

We also have an update from Te Whatu Ora:
For all patients that have existing repeats at Barry Roberts Pharmacy who now need a new prescription, Te Whatu Ora are going to reimburse the medical practices so that patient DOES NOT have to pay for the new prescription fee.
Our intention was always to make sure that our patients are not out of pocket and have the continuity of care they need during this difficult time so please see your Dr for a new prescription before your repeats are due and take it you a pharmacy of your choosing.

Once again, thank you for all your understanding during this difficult time.

We are heartbroken to let our patients know that Barry Roberts Pharmacy has been the victim of an arson attack that has caused irreparable damage.

All medicines in the pharmacy have been destroyed.

For all urgent medication, blister packs or repeat medicines you must go back to your Doctor to get a new prescription and then send it to an alternative pharmacy.

For CADs patients please get in touch with your caseworker.

All NZ Post parcels and inquirers are not able to be accessed until further notice.

We will update you when we know more, but for now we want to express how sad we are that we are not able to serve our community at this time.

Hello everyone! As of 1st July the government is removing the $5 co-payment on prescriptions. This means FREE prescriptions at Barry Roberts Pharmacy. This applies to prescriptions from your GP, public hospital and midwife. Co-payment's still apply to dental and private prescriptions.

We would love to welcome back those of you who had no choice but to go to a 'discounter pharmacy' with our friendly smiles and exceptional service.

Thank you to those of you who have stuck with us and supported us, we are so excited for this next chapter where we can put all of our time and energy into focusing on your health and well being.

We can't wait to see you soon!

Important Notice: Kiwibank Services Shutdown at Barry Roberts Pharmacy. New Zealand postal services will remain open.

Dear Customers,

We regret to inform you that due to escalating threats and abuse, we have made the difficult decision to permanently close Kiwibank services at Barry Roberts Pharmacy, effective 1st July 2023. The safety and well-being of our customers and staff are of utmost importance to us, and we cannot compromise on this matter.

Please note that New Zealand Post services WILL CONTINUE to operate as usual at this location.

We understand that this closure may cause inconvenience, and we sincerely apologize for any disruption caused to your banking needs.

For any assistance or inquiries, please contact Kiwibank head office directly.
