Recycle South Recycle South is the fresh, new name for Southland DisAbility Enterprises. Recycle South is one of Southland’s key recycling services.

We enrich the lives of people with disabilities by providing meaningful employment through operating a successful recycling and environmentally aware business. We are a registered charity offering those in our community who live with disabilities meaningful employment under the basis that it’s not just work – but quality work. With recycling and sustainability at our core, honest, respectful, and progressive mindsets are what we care about— and providing equal opportunity to all people. Our facilities can process and recycle plastics, e-waste, paper, cardboard, tin, aluminium, most agricultural plastics and more. We even offer a secure document destruction service, packaging products for companies - in fact, if you can think it up, we'll give it a go! Check out what we do at recyclesouth.org.nz or give us a call on 03 214 6188.

🌟♻️ RECYCLING ROCKSTAR WEDNESDAY – RHAJAN! ♻️🌟

This Wednesday, we’re shining the spotlight on someone who never asks for it - Rhajan! 💚

Rhajan is one of those employees you can always count on. Whatever needs doing, he gets stuck in and helps out without making a fuss.

He’s an absolute ace at E-Scrap dismantling, a champion at cardboard sorting, and a quiet, supportive presence in the Packing Room.

Rhajan brings a steady, positive attitude to his work, and his contribution to the team certainly doesn’t go unnoticed.

Rhajan, we see what you do and we really appreciate having you on our team. 💚

⭐ Congratulations, Rhajan - our very deserving Recycling Rockstar! ⭐

When like-minded organisations get together, good things happen! 💚♻️

Yesterday we loved welcoming Roxanne, General Manager of Greenways Trust in Dargaville, and Chris to Recycle South.

Greenways Trust and Recycle South have plenty in common - creating meaningful employment, building confidence and connection, and putting people at the heart of what we do. 💞

There was plenty of sharing ideas, a tour of our place and, naturally, a proper Southland welcome with the famous Southland cheese roll! 🧀😋

Different ends of the country, but very much on the same page when it comes to people, purpose and opportunity. 💚♻️

🏉 What a game!

A huge effort from our friends, the Southland Stags - not quite the result we were hoping for, but plenty to be proud of! 💙

Our Stags ticket winner Damien and Nathan had an awesome night and even managed to meet a couple of the players after the game! 🙌

Congratulations to Northland on the win and securing a home semi-final. 👏

We’ve absolutely loved getting behind the Stags this season - thanks for some great rugby and plenty of excitement!

Antlers up! 🦌🏉

🏉♻️ From game day to baled!

We followed the journey with some of our good friends from the Southland Stags, of a can from a Stags game, through Recycle South, to the finished bale.

And remember on game day - CANS ONLY IN THE BIN! ♻️🥫

A huge shout out and good luck cheers to our Stags up against Northland tomorrow! 🦌

🍞☕ BREAKFAST CLUB ☕🍞

Fuelled up and ready for the day! 💪♻️

Thanks to the amazing support of Community Trust South, our crew can kick-start every morning with fresh toast, jam or Vegemite, plus a hot cuppa. ☕🍞

It’s more than breakfast - it’s a chance to fuel up, catch up and start the day together. 💙

And judging by these faces… Breakfast Club is a hit! 👍

♻️⭐ RECYCLING ROCKSTAR WEDNESDAY! ⭐♻️

This week’s Recycling Rockstar is Nimai! 🙌

Nimai is one of those awesome team members who is always willing to lend a hand wherever he’s needed. Whether he’s filling in at Tiwai Respirators, heading out on pickups with Gina, completing jobs for Dee, or jumping in to assist in E-Scrap - Nimai is our go-to guy! 💪♻️

Reliable, helpful and always ready to get stuck in, Nimai is a true team player and a valued part of our Recycle South crew. 💙

🌟 Well deserved, Nimai - you’re our Recycling Rockstar! 🌟

⚽ THE BOSS STILL HAS IT! ⚽

Our boss Chris pulled on the boots today with the Nomads Masters to take on Auckland’s Ellerslie AFC Mustangs, who are down South on their annual end-of-year tour.

The Nomads are a great bunch of players from clubs across Southland - different clubs, one team, and apparently just enough puff left to get the job done! 😂⚽

A cracking 2–1 win to the Boss and his team! 🏆

Awesome effort Boss - the legs might be a little older, but the competitive spirit clearly hasn’t aged a day! 😂👏

A massive shoutout to our Roddy, named Southern Football Men’s Defender of the Year 2026! 👏👏

What an awesome achievement and one to be incredibly proud of. We love celebrating the successes of our team both at work and out in the community.
