What You’ll Be Doing
As part of our whānau-centred team, you will:
Walk alongside whānau on their journey toward wellbeing
Deliver services grounded in kaupapa Māori values
Build strong, trusting relationships within the community
Support, advocate, and empower whānau to achieve their goals
Work collaboratively within a passionate, supportive team
What We’re Looking For
Social Worker in Schools (Registered)
Current NZ Registered Social Worker (SWRB) status
Strong knowledge of tikanga Māori and kaupapa Māori practice
Experience working with tamariki and their whānau with complex or high needs
Commitment to ethical, culturally responsive practice
Family Start Social/Support Worker
Understanding of kaupapa Māori principles
Passion for whānau ora and community wellbeing
Relevant experience in social or community services
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Family Harm Focus
Experience or strong interest in family harm / violence prevention and intervention
Ability to engage safely and effectively with whānau experiencing harm
Knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally grounded practice
Confidence working alongside agencies and community partners
A steady, compassionate approach with strong boundaries
