MetService has updated the weather warnings 😮- they have been extended into Sunday afternoon with increased rain amounts. Information below has been updated to reflect this. There is also a 💪💨STRONG WIND WATCH💨💪 for Wellington on Sunday morning with south to southeast winds that may rise to severe gale in exposed places.

Heavy rain may cause streams and rivers to rise rapidly. Surface flooding and slips are also possible and driving conditions may be hazardous.
