Calling all Morris & James collectors and fanatics!

We retained an interesting piece of M&J history, and we're giving it away by ballot.

These glaze tiles were created by Ian Foote for glaze and finish experimentation and reference. They hung in the Morris & James factory for many years.

If you'd like a chance at acquiring them, enter your details on the form below. A random draw will be made on Tuesday.

Winner can collect the piece whole from Warkworth (Auckland), or we can ship the tiles only at the winner's expense.

Enter the ballot here: https://spartan-tiles.netlify.app/

It's the last hurrah for our limited edition book, The Clay That Connects Us!

If you haven't been able to get a copy yet, there's currently 16 left available on the website.

Plus we're gifting three personal copies of the book - one to a friend, one to you, and one to a library.

These gifted books are "overs": the handful of extra books a printer runs off to protect an edition of 500. They were never destined for sale (they were kept back as reserve copies) but they're surplus to our personal requirements.

How the book ballot works:

Book one - nominate a friend. Got a copy already? Send us a photo of the book on your coffee table and tell us who you'd like to receive one. If you're drawn, your friend gets the book.

Book two - a copy for yourself. Haven't got one yet? Share a Morris & James memory, or a photo of your favourite piece, and you're in the draw.

Book three - nominate a library. Every entry can also name a New Zealand public library. The most-nominated library that doesn't already have a copy will receive one for its shelves.

Open worldwide. Entries close 11.59pm, Saturday 15 August. Winners drawn Monday 17 August and announced here Tuesday 18 August. The book is the gift - all we ask is that winners cover the postage (we'll cover postage on the library copy).

A wonderful snap of The Clay That Connects Us on the other side of the world!

"My book arrived safely in Quebec, Canada. It arrived the day before my birthday! ๐ŸŽ‰What a wonderful gift to add to my collection. Here it is on my coffee table โ˜•๏ธ. Calling all collectors... can you help us help Jude?

Jude is on a mission to find a Picasso pot (designed by Jacs Connelly), and has been ever so patiently waiting to see if one might turn up since we've been closed.

If you have one tucked away that you'd be willing to part with, we'd love to hear from you so we can help Jude out by passing on your details.

We're casting the net wide on this one - Jude is happy to travel for the right piece!

๐Ÿ“š Good news: reserve copies of The Clay That Connects Us have just been released.

We sold out of the book last week, and we've now wrapped up all our final orders.

Why the extras? We wanted to make sure we didn't oversell, and to cover any further interest from libraries. Now that we're all up to date, we have 25 copies left over.

These are live on the website now and available to purchase - so if you missed out the first time, this is your second chance to grab one.

๐ŸŒ Based beyond Australasia? Get in touch and we'll sort you a shipping quote. As a rough guide, shipping has averaged around NZ$100 to the USA, Canada, UK and Europe.

๐Ÿ“ฆ Shipping within NZ is $10, and to Australia $32 (per book).
