As well as being a tattooist for over 12 years, Rick Walker has been an artist for most of his life doing air brush work, book illustrations and teaching young ones art and music at American camps. Rick also has a passion for music and has been a drummer in many bands over the years, he currently drums in Waikato based original rock band Medusa Glare who in Jan 2021 reached no.4 on the NZ Hot 20 c

harts for their latest single 'Who I Am'. Tattoo inspired art has been a passion for most of his life so after some time working in other tattoo shops, Rick established Inkster in 2008 originally based in Papamoa and in June 2019 setting up shop in Matamata. Rick has been able to dedicate his time and talent designing many awesome tattoos over the years and loving every moment of it, also building some great friendship with his customers along the way.

Been here now 7 years now and it’s always been a blast to come here to this town close to my home town Cambridge
Well new stuff has happened here too INKSTER TATTOO has moved next door to the studio everyone knows - to 109 firth Matamata-not hard to find at all 😁
