We are incredibly passionate about the supplement industry, and it’s not because we think everyone needs them.

It’s because when they are needed, the right nutrient, in the right form, at the right dose, can be genuinely life-changing.

But there’s something we need to talk about much more openly: Supplements are not harmless.

Every nutrient you take interacts with your biochemistry. It can influence another nutrient, a hormone, an enzyme, a medication, your nervous system, your blood sugar, your gut microbiome. And yes - sometimes that is exactly what we want it to do - but it also means we need to stop thinking of supplements as something we can take indiscriminately.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳:

Who made it?
Where are the ingredients sourced from?
Has the finished product been independently or third-party tested?
How do you know that what’s on the label is actually what’s in the bottle?
Is the dose clinically meaningful?
How is it manufactured and stored?
Could it interact with any medications or other supplements I’m taking?
And most importantly: do I actually need it?

Something capable of changing your biochemistry deserves a little more thought than many of us give it.

Our FREE Practitioner Prescription consultation is designed to review your current supplement regime, assess whether the form and dosage are appropriate, and identify anything that may be poor quality, ineffective, unnecessary, or unsuitable for you.

Hormones don’t just randomly go out of balance. They’re actually very tightly controlled 🧠

When a woman has low progesterone, “oestrogen dominance”, irregular cycles or period pain, we don’t just look at the hormones themselves, we go upstream to look at the things that influence whether you ovulate, how much progesterone you make and how well you clear oestrogen.

And iron is one of them. Low iron can affect energy production, thyroid function and ovarian function which can flow right through to your cycle and your hormones.

Too often, the focus is on managing the hormone (oral contraceptive, HRT, “hormone balancing” supplements … 👀) without any investigation why the hormone is struggling in the first place.
