Great and informative for all babies 🥰

To reduce spitting up, keep baby upright for 20-30 min. after feeds Spitting up can trigger a host of worries in new parents, some related to their role in this behavior and others to do with baby’s growth and health. Was it something I did? Was it something I ate? Will my baby’s weight gain suf...

Today is a day of reflecting...
I fondly remember my dear Mum who left us 47 years ago 💖
I reflect on mothering my 2 children and how they have moulded me...
I so proudly observe my daughter mothering my 2 grandchildren in the best way humanly possible...
I am privileged to be part of new mothers lives, sharing precious moments and time with them...
Here's to every woman who cares for something in a motherly way. With love ❤️ De

✨ Visiting a New Mom? Read This First ✨

New babies bring a lot of excitement—everyone wants to meet the little one and show love. But here’s the thing: what new moms really need is support, not surprise visitors and extra stress.

If you’re planning to visit a new mom soon, here are a few gentle reminders to help make it a positive experience for her (not just you):

Are you well ? If not stay away until you are!

Bring something—anything.
Snacks, coffee, a sandwich. Better still that nights dinner !! Don’t show up empty-handed.

Wash your hands.
Before touching the baby, always. Germs are no joke for tiny humans.

Keep it short.
20–30 minutes tops. She’s tired, healing, and doesn’t need to host anyone right now.

Don’t expect baby cuddles.
If she’s not handing the baby over, that’s okay. Respect her space.

Be helpful.
Load the dishwasher. Put out the washing or bring it in. Fold washing. Real support looks like action, not advice.

Leave your drama at the door.
She’s dealing with enough. Keep it light and supportive.

No judgment zone.
Her baby, her rules. However she’s feeding, sleeping, or parenting—respect it.

Always text first.
Don’t just pop by. Give her a chance to say yes (or no).

NO kissing the baby.
Even if you love them to bits. Health and safety first.

Check on her, too.
Yes, the baby is the star—but mom is recovering and adjusting. She needs love, too.

💜 Bottom line: Your visit should lift her up—not wear her out.

YES to these wise words ❤️ As I tell my Mama, it has to feel right for you. If someone tells you to do something and it doesn't sit or feel right for you, follow your gut instincts 🥰
