My Ayurvedic Kitchen Hack for Faster Lentils (No Pressure Cooker!)

Slow cooker… but make it smart.

When I’m short on time but still want nourishing, easy-to-digest food like kitchari, dals, or chickpeas — I use this simple trick to speed things up without a pressure cooker.

✔️ Hot water to kickstart the cooking
✔️ High setting on the slow cooker
✔️ A towel + blanket wrap to trap the heat

What normally takes 3–4 hours can be ready in about 2 — with minimal effort and almost no washing up.

Perfect for busy days when you still want to honour your body with warm, grounding food.

Day 13 of our 15-Day Reset… and something profound emerged:
