Local Sport Action!
A passionate group have been pushing hard to establish Wheelchair Rugby Taranaki https://www.facebook.com/share/1HJEJ2QBhx/ and they've got their first big hit-out next weekend against Manawatu.
A fully inclusive and very leveling sport, they're encouraging participation and would love your support.

IT'S COMING!!!
The I.Lead Conference is a platform for disabled youth (18 – 30 years old) from across Aotearoa. This enables rangatahi whaikaha to come together to find solutions to prevalent issues and barriers they face as disabled youth living in New Zealand. It is also a space of collaboration and innovation, being a platform from which we can identify solutions and present them to high level policy and decision makers. Whaikaha - Ministry of Disabled People and the Ministry of Social Development NZ have worked together to create information in alternate formats about some of the support and services available through Work and Income.

This information explains what support may be available, who may be eligible, and how to access it.

You can find information about the:

• Child Disability Allowance

• Making a complaint
• Power, gas and heating if you have a disability
• Power, gas, water bills or heating
• Review of a decision
• Review of a medical decision
• Supported Living Payment.

Our Disability Awareness Workshops are designed to encourage understanding, empathy and insight into life with a disability. The workshop has a practical element where you get to experience first-hand the barriers others have to face to go about their daily lives.
