We would like to announce from the 1st September we are adjusting our opening hours and are closing on Saturdays. We feel this better reflects changes in demand for our services particularly in the current economic climate, and gives a better work life balance to our Pharmacist.

Our opening hours are now:

Monday to Friday: 8.30 - 17.00
Saturday & Sunday: Closed

We apologise if this causes any inconvenience but don’t forget we have a free delivery service Thursday & Friday afternoons if you can’t get in to pick up your meds….

In celebration of the Matariki ✨ long weekend we are taking a break to spend time with family visiting from out of town, so the Pharmacy will be closed on Friday the 10th for the public holiday and in addition, Saturday the 11th…

Please ensure you have collected your prescriptions or blister packs before the end of Thursday the 9th. Regular Friday delivery customers will have their medication delivered on Thursday instead 🤩

The school holidays start today, and as we have done in the past we are adjusting our opening hours as follows:

- Monday 6th to Thursday 9th 9.00-17:00
- Friday 10th Matariki CLOSED
- Saturday 11th CLOSED
- Monday 13th to Friday 17th 9.00-17.00
- Saturday 18th CLOSED

Scabies is a tiny mite that causes a very big itch! There have been reports of scabies around recently, so it's important to know the signs and how to treat it properly.

The main symptom to look out for is an itchy rash that mostly affects the arms, legs and torso. Have one already? See your healthcare provider so they can check for scabies or other conditions.

If scabies is confirmed, it can be easily treated with these steps:

✅ Treat it with a cream to kill the mites (pharmacies may offer subsidised advice and treatment)

✅ Treat everyone in your household at the same time

✅ Treat clothing and bedding in a hot wash or dryer; or by freezing or bagging

✅ Vacuum carpets, mats and sofas

✅ Remember to treat car seats too.

For those of you who took their Buccaline course back in March, if you are currently well and haven’t been struck down with the cold and flu’s doing the rounds at the moment heres a timely reminder to take your second course to cover you for the rest of winter.
