UPDATE: 31 August 2026 - Enrolments are officially closed and Awanuiarangi will be in touch with you over the next few days with confirmation of your enrolment if you haven’t received it already.
Apologies for the delay, we have had to push the course start dates out due to administration timeframes.
Our kaupapa will officially begin at 6pm-8.30pm, Tuesday 8 September 2026 at Te Pokapu, Kawakawa.

Hohou Te Rongoā is proud to be delivering a Tikanga ā Taiao with a Rongoā focus through Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiarangi.
This 100-hour programme has been designed to support the development and maintenance of quality, confident and safe Rongoā Māori practitioners, strengthening the foundations of our practice while continuing our collective pursuit and upholding of Rongoā excellence.
The programme will be delivered through:
• 2 Weekend wānanga (Week 1 & week 10)
• One evening class each week (Weeks 2-9)
📍 Delivery location: Tane Whakapiripiri Whare Oranga - 74 Gillies St, Kawakawa with weekend wananga carried out at Motatau Marae.
Whether you’re already practicing or looking to strengthen your knowledge and gain a recognised Hohou Te Rongoā tohu, this is a valuable opportunity to deepen your understanding within a supportive learning environment.

- Te Kauae Runga Te Kauae Raro Health Model

- Te Kāhui Rongoā Trust - A National voice for Rongoā Māori
- Business of Rongoā - Wrap around support for you and your tangata
All in an interactive but go at your own pace type of environment.
