Influenza A cases are rising across Taranaki

Flu is circulating widely, so now is a good time to take a few simple steps to protect yourself, your whānau and those around you.

Know the symptoms
Be aware of common flu symptoms, including fever, cough, sore throat, headaches, body aches and fatigue.

Stay home if you’re unwell
Give yourself time to recover and help reduce the spread of illness to others.

Consider an online GP consultation
If you need medical advice but are unwell, an online GP appointment may be a convenient option.

It’s not too late to get your flu vaccine
Flu vaccination is available from our clinics and remains one of the best ways to reduce your risk of influenza and help protect those around you.

Botulinum toxin treatment may have uses beyond cosmetic treatment.

Following an individual clinical assessment, it may be considered for suitable patients to help manage certain conditions, such as:

✔️ Chronic migraine
✔️ Jaw clenching or TMJ-related concerns
✔️ Excessive sweating, also known as hyperhidrosis

Treatment suitability is assessed on an individual basis. Botulinum toxin is a prescription medicine and may not be suitable for everyone.
