Your brain fog and hormonal chaos?

Not inevitable.

Rosemary supports circulation to your brain! Have you heard the term Rosemary for Remembrance? It’s not just about remembering your departed loved ones! It really does give you a clear head!

It also helps your liver metabolise hormones! And that’s good especially during the transition!!

Rosemary is just one herb among many that are exactly what you need in this stage of life.

1-2 cups daily, made with intention, drunk slowly.

Just dont drink it in the evening- it might keep you awake!!

Nature has answers.

And it’s free medicine!
Rosemary grows everywhere in NZ! Do you have one in your garden, or do you know a bush in your area? (I today I nicked mine off a neighbor’s hedge 😅) Tell me in the comments.”

Drives me nuts how much menopause is seen a disease to be fixed these days! Is puberty a disease? Is pregnancy? No of course not so why are we seeing menopause like this? Don’t get me wrong it’s bloody fantastic that it’s being talked about but it really feels like the message has swung too far the other way.

The Brain fog. Memory slips. Forgetting why you walked into a room.

If you’re in your 50s and this is your daily reality — here’s what’s probably happening: you’re dehydrated.

Your brain is 75% water. Even mild dehydration (as little as 1–2% loss) temporarily shrinks brain tissue, slows neurotransmitter function, and reduces cognitive performance — especially memory and focus.

And if you’re post-menopausal, you’re already dealing with estrogen’s impact on neurotransmitters. Dehydration compounds it.

So here’s what I want you to do right now:

Drink some water.

Not a sip. A full glass. Right now.

Within 20–30 minutes, you’ll notice — clearer thinking, faster recall, less of that word-finding struggle.

Make it a habit: start your day with 500ml before anything else. Aim for two litres minimum throughout the day.

If you’re sitting there thinking “I already drink water” — track it. Most women think they’re drinking enough, but they’re not.

💧 Drop a water emoji in the comments if this one landed for you. And send this to someone who needs the reminder.

I literally found a heap of hearts on the beach this afternoon!! This wasn’t the half of them!! I must be heading in the right direction!!

Over the past few weeks I’ve interviewed 13 women about life after menopause.

I expected to hear about hot flushes, weight gain, sleep, aching joints and brain fog.

Those things were there.

But they weren’t what surprised me.

What struck me was how many women described simply not having the capacity for life anymore.

Not enough energy.
Not enough headspace.
Not enough resilience.
Not enough of themselves left to do the things that matter.

They just wanted enough in the tank to enjoy their families, pursue their passions, contribute to their communities, and feel like themselves again.

I love this! And it tells me I’m on point with the thing I’m creating!!

A little side note that made me dance for joy!! … there are exactly 13 interviews. The number so often labelled “unlucky”, yet historically it’s the number of@the goddess with the feminine, the lunar cycles and the wisdom of women. Somehow that felt SO good that it was 13 women that put their hands up

Anyway I’d love to keep this going …let me know If you’re post-menopausal, what has been the biggest struggle for you?

Not necessarily your biggest symptom. (Tho it might be)

What has challenged your life the most?

I need your help!

Are you a woman in your 50s struggling with menopause symptoms? Do you feel like there should be more to life, but you’ve been so busy looking after everyone else that you’ve had little time or energy to dedicate to yourself?

If so, you’re exactly the kind of woman I love working with.

I’m looking to speak with women about their experiences, challenges, frustrations, hopes and goals. This isn’t a sales call. It’s about me listening and learning so I can make my programmes, services and support as relevant and helpful as possible.

If you’re willing to help, I’d love to chat with you for 20-30 minutes. As a thank you for your time, there is a bonus session as a small gift.

If you’re interested, send me a message and we’ll organise a time. 💛

Before work Morning things that make me happy.
Watching the full moon set, swimming in a silky pink sea, morning light in my dinning room window, hot porridge and milky coffee after a steaming outdoor shower to warm my bones.followed by a very quick walk with a friend. I’ve laughed I’ve vented and supported another by deep listening I’ve blissed out, fuelled and challenged myself.. the energy all that the brings!!

My extra good protein porridge with cinnamon spiced apples. See you can have a delicious non savoury breakfast and still get enough protein and carbs that aren’t gonna go straight to storage!

Blend 30gm jumbo/wholegrain or steel cut oats to a powder with a scoop or so of vanilla protein powder (I used whey), cook in either dairy milk (or soy if you don’t do dairy) with a wee pinch of salt. Stir constantly to prevent sticking and make a lovely creamy texture. Meanwhile either stew or grill some apples slices and toss in cinnamon for extra glycemic control.
Apples - gut health, metabolic effect (pectin slows glucose absorption)
Cinnamon - amazing digestive and blood sugar herb (I used upwards of a teaspoon)
Whole grain oats amazing for cholesterol and gut health slow burn energy
Enough protein to fuel the morning and prevent energy aka blood glucose crashes later (approx 25gm)
