I designed the Zinc Barrier Balm to help alleviate the symptoms of eczema and heal inflamed skin.

This is one of the most confusing spaces for parents with eczema, to bathe to not to bathe. I was given some contradicting advice about this. But I can confirm that current recommendations are that Eczema sufferers need to

1. bath/shower every day (especially during a flare), if not every other day.
2. with warm (not hot) water
3. for a maximum of 10-15 minutes.
4. use an emollient after.

As for soap, use a mild one.

Not only does bathing🛁 or showering 🚿moisturise the skin, it also decreases the bacterial load on the skin, which is highly likely one of the triggers of a flare.
