Cerebral Palsy Society of New Zealand The CP Society is a not-for-profit that strives to enhance the lives of New Zealanders with cerebral palsy through providing programmes and support.

The Society’s objectives are to:
- Promote Freedom & Choice;
- Fulfil an advocacy role;
- Provide physical, social, emotional, educational and recreational means to assist people with cerebral palsy;
- Promote study and research. The Society also:
- Offers unique programmes for members who meet the respective criterion;
- Provides subsidized social events for members and encourages networking and a sense of community;
- Supports the sport of Boccia;
- Assists with sponsorship.

💚💚💚 Now is the perfect time to encourage your child’s Early Childhood Centre to get involved in Be Green & Be Seen! 💚💚💚

If the centre raises $50 or more – they'll go in the draw to win a $250 voucher to spend at Creative Classrooms! How awesome would that be?! Tag or share with your ECE today!

Getting involved can be as simple as holding a green-themed dress up day and collecting gold coin donations.
Or they can go bigger – decorate the centre, host a green-themed morning tea, have a fashion show or raffle off a hamper for a lucky family to win.

This October, we want to open up conversations about Cerebral Palsy – Hōkai Nukurangi. We want to get people talking.

To do that, we’d love to share your story as part of Be Green & Be Seen 2026.

“This is Cerebral Palsy” is an opportunity for you to tell everyone what it means to live with Cerebral Palsy.
Your story will help us raise awareness, promote understanding and support inclusion throughout Aotearoa New Zealand.
It will help others to understand what it’s like to live with Cerebral Palsy and that every journey is different.

October is 1 month away which means Be Green & Be Seen is just around the corner!

Now’s the time to start thinking about how your early childhood centre, school, workplace or club is going to get involved, raise awareness and raise vital funds for the CP Society.

We’ve got some great new additions to this year’s campaign which we’re really excited about sharing with you in the coming days.

Registrations are open for the Aotearoa NZ Cerebral Palsy Education Day!

Hosted by The New Zealand Cerebral Palsy Register and the Cerebral Palsy Society, the in-person and online event is being held in Wellington on Saturday, November 14.

The day is for families and people with lived experience of CP and health professionals. It will be an opportunity to hear the latest information on CP research in Aotearoa and overseas, bringing it into everyday life.
Presentations will focus on how activity and participation can help people living with Cerebral Palsy / Hōkai Nukurangi, to achieve what is important to them.
