When was your last hearing test?

The World Health Organization recommends a baseline hearing check from around age 50, with regular follow-ups depending on individual hearing health and risk factors.

Even when hearing is within a normal range, knowing your baseline makes it easier to identify changes before they become more noticeable.

With NASA’s Artemis programme in the spotlight, astronauts can feel dizzy in space because the inner ear relies on gravity to keep us steady.

Here on Earth, this system is just as important. During Falls Awareness Month, it’s a good reminder that your ears play a key role in helping you stay steady and reducing the risk of falls.

If you’ve noticed dizziness or changes in balance, it might be worth having your ears checked.
