One of the most rewarding parts of what I do is helping people get back to the activities they enjoy most.
Recently, a client shared this review:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"Alex is a lovely person helping my feet with plantar fasciitis and the wear and tear this caused. This stopped me running for 10 weeks. I'm slowly running again."

When pain or discomfort limits the things we love doing, it can affect far more than just our physical health. It can impact our confidence, wellbeing, and enjoyment of everyday life.
Whether it's running, walking, gardening, playing with grandchildren, or simply moving more comfortably and easing symptoms, my goal is always to support clients in returning to the activities that matter most to them.
Thank you for your kind words and for allowing me to be part of your journey back to running. 👣

❄️Today marks the Winter Solstice – the shortest day and longest night of the year - and reminds us that nature has its seasons—and so do we. This is a time for slowing down, embracing stillness, and restoring what has been depleted. 🌙❄️
As the rain arrives this week, there may be no better place to be than tucked up warm in the treatment room, listening to the gentle rhythm of raindrops on the roof while your body settles into deep relaxation and repair.
A perfect season to turn inward, replenish our energy, and give ourselves the care we so often give to everyone else. ✨💙
🌿 One appointment remains this Friday, or you can book ahead for next week and give yourself something restorative to look forward to.

When was the last time you gave yourself permission to truly stop?

Not to be productive.
Not to solve problems.
Not to look after everyone else.

Just to rest.

From the moment you step into my treatment room, everything is designed to help you slow down, let go of tension, calm your nervous system and reconnect with yourself. Beginning with a soothing foot bath and optional breathwork before your tailored reflexology treatment, this is time dedicated entirely to you.
Because sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is pause.
✨ Welcome to your pause from the outside world.

Today I’m proud to support Pink Ribbon Day 2026 with a reflexology gift voucher for the raffle at the Summerset Prebbleton Pink Ribbon Brunch 💗

Pink Ribbon Day helps raise vital funds for breast cancer education, patient support, research, and advocacy through Breast Cancer Foundation NZ. It’s a cause that means a lot to me personally and professionally.

Through my journey and the experiences shared by many of my clients, I see how deeply stress, uncertainty, and emotional overwhelm can impact our wellbeing. It’s one of the reasons I believe creating space to slow down, rest, and reconnect with ourselves is so important — not as a luxury, but as an essential part of supporting our health and wellbeing 🌿

I’m grateful to play a small part in supporting such a meaningful cause and the incredible work being done in our community 💕

This week I had the privilege of offering complimentary reflexology treatments alongside the Cancer Society of New Zealand 💛 as part of an annual day I proudly donate my time to.

A heartfelt thank you to Chloe Wilson for creating the connection to such deserving people — without her this wouldn’t be possible 🙏

I am reminded how deeply stress can impact us in my clinic every day… but when someone is navigating a cancer journey that load can feel even heavier, it can also feel incredibly isolating. To offer a small pause… a space with no pressure, just to be and receive, and to feel supported — that’s something I deeply value ✨💛

I’m incredibly grateful to meet such courageous, deserving souls and to play a small part in their wellbeing journey. 🌿

🌿 Stepping Into 2026 with Intention 🌿
Over the holidays I spent time in nature, my happy place— enjoying beautiful walks in the west coast bush, fresh air, and moments of stillness at rivers and lakes.
Those moments were a lovely reminder of how much our nervous system needs space to reset.

During that time away, I found myself having so many conversations with people about work, stress, and the hope that this year will be different. A shared desire for change… for more calm, more balance, and less overwhelm.

Now that I’m back in the treatment room, the first couple of weeks of 2026 have already been busy — and interestingly, those same conversations have continued. So many people are remembering feeling stretched and tired from last year. There is a desire to respond differently…but also the feeling of slipping back into the same patterns once life gets busy again.

Our brains are wired to stick with what feels familiar — even when it’s stressful. That’s our nervous system trying to keep us safe. But when we support the nervous system, we give ourselves the opportunity to respond with clarity instead of reacting from pressure.

✨ This is where reflexology can help. ✨

When your body feels supported and grounded, everything feels more manageable. You can think more clearly, feel calmer, and move through life with greater ease.
Supporting you through this is important to me — not only during your treatments, but also by helping you develop self-care techniques you can use between sessions. Because we’re not meant to carry everything alone 💛

If you’re ready to start 2026 feeling more balanced and supported, reflexology can be a beautiful place to begin.
🌿 Your reset can start now.

As I prepare to close the clinic for the year, I just want to say a big thank you 💗
Thank you to every client who stepped through my door, shared their story, and chose reflexology as part of their self-care and healing journey. It’s truly a privilege to support you — whether that support is for relaxation, chronic symptoms, or simply creating space to pause and breathe.
This year has been filled with meaningful connections, trust, and gentle progress — and I’m so grateful for each one of you. Your story's of benefits and genuine gratitude light me up.
I’ll be taking a short break to rest and reset, before returning on 14th January, ready to welcome you back and continue supporting your wellbeing into 2026 🌿
Wishing you a calm Christmas, a restful holiday season, and a gentle start to the new year.
Thank you for being part of the Inner Calm Reflexology community 💚
