Did you know that Waikato-Tainui Kaumaatua Grants are now open for 2026?

Our team can help those kaumaatua that are wanting some awhi in this space or are struggling to apply from our Whare Hauora on 12 Wallis Street.
Monday - Friday 9AM to 3PM (unless we have Marae Clinic).

This like all of our services is free of charge and intended just to help where we can.

Kia mataara e te whaanau - Last year there were some individuals in other communities charging for this awhi. You should not be charged and there should be no costs involved. The team at Waikato-Tainui can also help with the application from the Hamilton office if you are feeling unsure.

Due to venue restrictions this week we will be offering a slimmed down 'Marae Integrated Outreach Clinic' tomorrow.

In partnership with Raglan Medical we are offering out Mini Marae Clinic from our Whare Hauora on Wallis Street.

Date: Friday 8 May 2026
Time: 10-2pm
Place: Te Toi Ora ki Whaingaroa, 12 Wallis Street.

Services available:

- Medical consult
- Tainui Kaumaatua Grant application help

Venue entry: Up the ramp and through the door straight ahead, our team will be there to greet you.

Parking: There is minimal parking on the street. Parking space available on the gravel behind the old Lions Club. We do need to leave some parking at the front for users of other services.

Tea coffee and water will be available, but be aware that there is no kitchen space.

We are very grateful to have moved to a place where we can still offer this service to whaanau free of charge ahakoa te aha.

While you might be experiencing our new space for the first time (and it is pretty cool) please be mindful we do share the whare with other providers so ask you to keep to spaces guided by the team
