"I'm taking a lot more, bigger breaths… that allows me much more energy and less fatigue."

Jamie, an OT, retired wheelchair basketball player, and someone who'd rather be outdoors than anywhere else, swapped a saggy canvas back support for a Zygo Active Mid Back Support scripted to his own measurements – after years of seating that never quite worked.

Better posture. Easier breathing. Less fatigue. And two little tabs that lift it off one-handed.

Shoutout to Dan, his Spex rep, for getting the fit just right 🙌

Two days of learning, connection and collaboration at Expo Ortopédica and the Latin American Seating Symposium (LASS) in Argentina. 🎉

It was fantastic to see therapists and professionals come together from across Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Colombia and the wider Latin American region to share knowledge, exchange ideas and connect around seating and positioning.

We were especially pleased to have Steve Ashton, Spex UK Clinical Excellence & Education Manager, joining the LASS speaker programme, presenting “Translating Assessment Findings to Solutions”, and to introduce the new Wonderseat SuperHigh Contour Cushion during a practical workshop.

Spex was also proud to support the event once again by sponsoring the coffee break, with a YETI giveaway adding a little extra fun across the two days.

A great opportunity to bring the Spex community together, learn from one another, and continue strengthening connections across Latin America. ☕

When engineering meets choreography. 🎻

There’s something almost effortless about the way the Spex Axial Biangular Lateral Trunk Support moves, but every angle is there for a reason.

Its axial and pivot-hinge technology creates a wide range of positioning possibilities, helping clinicians accommodate complex trunk shapes and provide targeted, comfortable support.

Quite the performance for a lateral trunk support.

A fantastic few days of connection, conversation and collaboration at the Numotion Commercial Growth Summit.

The Spex team had the opportunity to connect with ATPs and clinical teams from across the US, share ideas, talk seating and positioning, and hear more about the challenges and opportunities they’re seeing every day.

Strong industry partnerships can achieve great things when experience, clinical knowledge and a shared focus on better outcomes for wheelchair users come together.

A big thank you to Numotion for having us, and to everyone who stopped by to connect with the team.

Last week in Denver, we brought together our Spex USA sales representatives for the Spex Sales Summit, and what a few days it was.

It was a great opportunity to connect face-to-face, share experiences from across the US market, listen to honest feedback, celebrate the progress being made, and talk openly about where we can improve and grow together.

What stood out most was the energy, commitment and passion across the team. Our reps are on the ground every day representing Spex, building relationships, listening to the challenges our customers face, and helping connect them with better seating solutions.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us in Denver and contributed so openly to such a valuable few days.

Here are a few highlights from the Summit.

We’re excited about what’s ahead for Spex in the US, and even more excited to keep building, learning and improving together.

Introducing the Lateral Trunk Support Easy Pull Cover, designed to make the swing-away release easier to access and support greater independence.

- Padded neoprene around the mechanism protects the user from contact with hardware
- A large finger and thumb pull ring makes the release easier to locate and grip
- The length-adjustable strap can be positioned to suit the individual, enabling suitable users the opportunity to independently operate their lateral support and manage transfers

Already using a compatible Comfy Cover? A retrofit Easy Pull strap is available, so existing setups can benefit from the improved design too.
