Next week I am going on another trip down to Christchurch for another course with the Barral Institute New Zealand

Why do I keep going for more? Could I not get the same information from reading? Or watch some videos?

The following images shows the most important learning gained from these in-person and hands-on CPD courses. Being able to discuss and question findings, my hands being fine-tuned. Nothing is more valuable than those moments of feedback and refinement of touch and techniques.

Reflecting has been a part of my professional life as long as I can remember. From right back to my nursing days, reflecting has been a part of learning, clinical practice and professional growth.

Sometimes life throws some situations together which encourages reflecting on, and shapes the direction you are taking. Life is doing that for me right now; turning 60 later this year, 35+ years in healthcare, the last 5 as a Structural Integration Practitioner, and finally having to pack up home and clinic to move to a new location.

This post is the result of reflecting on all this, and shows the direction my clinical practice is taking. Based on more current fascia research, postgraduate studies and courses, the lovely clients that seek me out, and a genuine interest in wanting to help others to feel their best.
