Did you know…
that your face contains over 40 muscles?

Tension or tightness in one area affects the whole system.
Nothing in the face works in isolation.

Jaw tension is more than clenching or grinding.
If your jaw is tight, chances are your neck and occipital area are tight too — sometimes even leading to tension headaches.
So releasing just the jaw won’t solve the full picture.

Droopy eyelids or eye bags?
Often a result of a tight face over time.
Tension builds layer by layer and begins to affect more than one area.
This is usually years of holding, not just a few weeks or months.

Double chin, loss of jawline, puffiness?
Tight muscles can slow lymph flow, leading to fluid stagnation.
When lymph can’t drain efficiently, congestion and inflammation build — creating that puffy, heavy look.

My Face Up™ and Jaw Release treatments focus on releasing these deeper layers — jaw, neck, scalp, forehead — so the whole system can reset.
One session won’t undo years of tension, and I always recommend starting with a series to create real change.
But even after one session, you’ll feel a shift:

✨ in your face
✨ in the way you hold yourself
✨ in how your nervous system slows down
✨ in the sense of space inside your
head and jaw
✨ in the clarity around your eyes
✨ in the way your breath drops lower

This work isn’t about “fixing” one tight spot — it’s about helping your whole system unwind.

Most of us spend hours looking down — phones, laptops, desk work — and the body quietly adapts to those positions.
When the head drifts forward or the shoulders round in, the front of the neck tightens, the jaw works harder, and the fascia through the upper body pulls downward.
Over time, the face reflects that: a bit more puffiness, heaviness under the chin, or a tired look that doesn’t match how you actually feel.

A helpful first step is simply noticing when it’s happening. Catching yourself in those moments — the phone dropping lower, the shoulders rising, the jaw tightening — and gently readjusting. That awareness alone starts to shift things.

When I see clients, I often give them small pieces of homework to help free up the areas that get tight. Anything from foam rolling, breathing or mobility work, and sometimes strength exercises to support the body so it doesn’t fall back into those patterns so easily. Once the body opens, the face naturally softens and lifts too.

It’s a simple reminder that the way we hold ourselves shapes the way our face feels and looks— and small, consistent changes can make a real difference

My lovely client came in dealing on and off with tension headaches, neck tension, tightness around her eyes, forehead and cheeks, as well as jaw tension.

During her assessment, we also talked about chest tightness, which she has on a daily basis and about her response in stressful situations.

In most of these situations, breathing is a huge factor. People tend to hold their breath or breathe very shallow. So we focused on some cues for her to work through, when she feels tense and tight and trying to catch herself in those moments.

She couldn't believe the change in tension in her face after her treatment. Feeling much more open and relaxed.

At Bodyflow Studio, we slow things down so your body can actually catch up.
Face Up™ is one of those practices that brings you back to yourself — softening the jaw, easing the fascia, letting the breath deepen again.

A few deep conscious breaths of the oils scent, and the whole system shifts. You can feel your body relax and soften.

This is the work — unwinding tension, supporting your lymphatics, and helping you feel more at home in your own skin

Support your lymphatic flow at home with simple daily rituals that help reduce stagnation, soften puffiness, and encourage clearer circulation through the face and body.

✨ Lymphatic Drainage
- Opens pathways and reduces stagnation
- Softens puffiness and fluid buildup
- Prepares the tissues for deeper work

✨ Face Massage
- Releases muscular tension that restricts flow
- Supports lift, sculpting, and circulation
- Helps clear puffiness through gentle movement

✨ Gua Sha
- Stimulates lymphatic movement through slow
scraping
- Releases fascial tightness that blocks drainage
- Helps contour and reduce swelling

✨ Cupping
- Moves stagnant fluids through gentle suction
- Increases circulation and tissue mobility
- Supports deeper release in tight areas

✨ Flow Vibrate
- Adds rhythmic vibration to stimulate flow
- Softens dense, tight tissues
- Encourages nervous system relaxation

✨ Flow Orb
- Opens pathways with targeted pressure
- Melts tension under the collarbone + neck
- Supports drainage from face into body

✨ Diaphragmatic Breathing
- Activates the diaphragm, a key lymphatic pump
- Reduces internal pressure + stagnation
- Supports calm, rhythmic flow through the whole system

Any questions about these rituals or how to use them, you’re always welcome to ask.
Flow Orb and Flow Vibrate are also available in‑studio for purchase ✨

✨Hanging eyelids often start much lower in the body.✨

Tension travels — neck ➡️ jaw ➡️ temples ➡️ forehead —until the upper face is not only quietly overworking, but also being subtly pulled downward.

As the tension releases and the muscles relax, the eyelids begin to return to their natural position — not lifted, simply no longer being pulled down.

But what an amazing change for my client after her first session.
👉 Eyes more open
👉 Reduction of crows feet
👉 Smoother forehead
👉 Lifted eye lids
