This one was written with love, grief, sunrise coffees, butterflies, Tennessee Whiskey, and the ache of missing someone whose fingerprints remain on your soul forever. It was my honour to create this song for Bern ... thank you.🌅🦋

“TWO Hearts Forever Entwined” is a tribute from Bern, to her beautiful Dad, Joe (Joseph Hastie).
A bushman. A tinkerer. A hunter & fisherman. A jack of all trades. The legendary “Timberland Terror.” A man who could fix absolutely anything … except the fact that time was slipping away too soon.
Joe transitioned peacefully on Wednesday 20th September 2023, with Tennessee Whiskey softly playing as he took his final breath and smiled into the next adventure. Bern was blessed to be by his side in that sacred moment.

This song carries their sunrise coffee mornings, his old sayings, the laughter, the garage chaos, the butterflies, the ocean between Australia and New Zealand, and the invisible thread between this world and the next.

Dad called me “sweetheart.”
And I’d give absolutely anything to hear him say it one more time.

When I look in the mirror …
I still see our sunrise in my eyes. ☀️

I love you, Dadda.

Jo gave myself and my home a remote clearing all the way NZ to AUS. The depth and detail she went to with this is remarkable. Instantly my energy levels had changed once she had finished and I can't even describe the lightness I felt. It wasn't just the clearing the blew me away with Jos efforts either, its her attention to detail on the things I needed to know about / learn / fix. She has sent me numerous learnings, videos, pictures and voice notes to help me, and this is even weeks later. Jo carries a lifetime of creativity in her back pocket (alongside bits of thread, glitter, fluff & more often than not, brilliant ideas that arrive at 3am). Her hands have danced through costume design, whimsical doll artistry, painting, & mixed media … & now, they turn toward one of life’s most sacred garments.

Creating a shroud isn’t just making something beautiful… it’s storytelling in fabric. It’s essence-catching. It’s soul-dressing.
Whether you envision something as simple as a quite whisper or bold enough to make the ancestors raise an eyebrow in admiration, Jo works with you to craft a final wrap that feels deeply, unmistakably YOU. Think of it as YOUR last garment … YOUR final curtain call.

She is also a Deathwalker with GO WITH THE JO’S, gently guiding & supporting people through the tender journey of end-of-life care.

WHERE is Jo located? Nestled in Te Puna, Tauranga, New Zealand. From this little pocket of paradise, Jo sends her creations out far & wide. Worldwide commissions are accepted.
WHAT is a Shroud? A burial or cremation shroud is a biodegradable cloth made from natural fibres such as linen, cotton, wool, or silk.
But truthfully… it’s more than cloth. It’s family hands gently tucking, smoothing, & saying goodbye in a way that feels intimate & real. Wrapped with LOVE, returned to NATURE. It’s an alternative to the polished boxes & heavy footprints of traditional burial… a softer, gentler farewell that honours both the person & the earth.

WHY? Shrouds are eco-friendly, often more affordable, & open the door to something deeply personal. They invite creativity, ritual, healing & meaning back into this sacred moment.
