Who remembers Wawn’s Wonder Wool?

Apparently you used to wrap this around your body and it would relieve pain. How does that work?!

It even suggests sewing it into a vest or jacket in emergency cases. 👀

I’m glad times have moved onto more effective remedies but it’s fascinating to get a glimpse into the past with this new edition to my ‘Pharmacy Relics’ collection.

What else might be lurking in the medicine cabinets of Te Awamutu?

Being part of our community is something we truly treasure here at Sanders Pharmacy. 💛

We are locally owned, with roots in Te Awamutu stretching all the way back to the 1950s - and giving back to the community that has supported us all these years really matters to us.

One of the ways we do that is through sponsorship. We can't say yes to everything, but we love supporting local schools and organisations that share our health and wellbeing kaupapa. 🌿

Here is my little man proudly delivering a prize hamper full of our products for the upcoming Puahue School Quiz Night - a big shout out to our neighbour Roz and the whole Puahue School PTA team for the mahi they do! 🙌

🌸 Welcome to the team, Jasmine! 🌸

We are so excited to introduce Jasmine, our newest pharmacist at Sanders Pharmacy! A fresh graduate and proud Thai-Kiwi, Jasmine has made the move from the big city of Auckland to country life in TA, and we are absolutely loving having her here.

Her warm, friendly nature has already made her a firm favourite with the whole team, and we love being able to support a talented young healthcare professional at the start of her career.

Those flowers are well deserved, Jasmine! 💐 Pop in and say hello - we think you'll love her too! 💛

We honour all those who served and sacrificed for our freedom this ANZAC Day weekend.

We're open across both public holidays and Sunday, so you don't need to make the trip to Hamilton for your medicines and health advice:

Saturday 26 April (ANZAC Day) — 9am to 3pm
Sunday 27 April — 9am to 3pm
Monday 28 April (ANZAC Day observed) — 9am to 3pm

After a huge surge in demand over the past week, we are unfortunately out of Covid vaccine at present, waiting on more supplies due any day.

This will be the updated Comirnaty LP.8.1 vaccine that came out earlier this month.

Everyone over 30 is recommended to have an updated covid vaccination at least every 12 months, and every 6 months if you are higher risk:
- people aged 65 and older
- Māori and Pacific people aged 50 and older
- residents of aged care facilities
- severely immunocompromised people
- people aged 12 years and over who have a medical condition that increases the risk of severe illness from COVID-19.
