This is my friend Chris, whose article I shared yesterday. The Motor Neurone Disease NZ asked him & his beautiful partner Kendall to help them to make a video on their story to promote Action Month for MND.
It is a moving, pungently real & beautiful video, where Chris & Kendall are opening up to their vulnerability and their incredible strength, their emotional intelligence, their sweetest caring personalities & their vibrantly passionate musician sides.
Chris is the MNDNZ hero of the year, and he is truly a Hero. He is doing beyond anyone could imagine even through the challenges of his condition: from hiking missions & concert adventures, it is worth to mention that this year they also attended Splore festival. If this is not epic, not sure what is.
Because Chris always had the approach of CAN DO, even in the face of the unsettling progression of his condition. It takes the heart of a lion, I can tell because I witness it. Indeed, I am so glad & grateful he had the insight to practice breathing & conscious movement with me 2 years ago, and we still do. This time of practice has made us very close and I have so much love & care for him & Kendall.
I am so glad I call them both friends.
In fact, I am also in this the video as they offered me to join them for a cuppa with their support group. It was a most pleasant cuppa time, with very interesting people having greatly interesting conversations, not surprisingly considering who we were there for.
