Exciting news: Fun Fact Fridays have returned! 💫⁠ ⁠

Did you know that the trees along our bushwalk exhibit an orange coloration due to a specific alga known as Trentepohlia aurea. Interestingly, this alga is classified as green, but the presence of carotenoid pigments in high concentrations leads to the orange appearance on the trees. These pigments also serve as a natural sunscreen, shielding the algal cells from harmful UV rays. ⁠
