A little “about me” for anyone who’s new here 🤎 I’m Brooke, the other half of Whole Nutrition.
While Morgan is the nutrition brain behind our client plans, I’m usually behind the scenes… from admin and operations to helping our performance athletes with race-day nutrition and fuelling.
Sport has always been a huge part of my life. I started swimming at eight, played 1st XI football throughout high school and found rowing at 14- which quickly became my whole world.
I was lucky enough to represent New Zealand from 2018–2023, travelling the world and spending a year on a rowing scholarship in the USA. It was an incredible experience, but also came with some of the hardest years of my life. Rowing taught me discipline and resilience, but also about pressure, injury, burnout and what happens when your identity becomes tied to one thing. When I retired, I honestly didn’t know who I was without it, and completely fell out of love with training.
Not long after, my partner and I moved to Italy for a year. It was exactly what I needed. I started running, rediscovered my love for swimming and spent time in the gym trying to feel strong again. Slowly, I found my love for movement again.
These days, I train because it clears my mind, challenges me and makes me feel good. Ironically, letting go of the pressure to perform has allowed me to achieve things I never thought possible.
Since rowing, I’ve completed two Ironmans, qualified for the Ironman World Championships after my first, run an ultramarathon and multiple marathons. More than the results, I’m proud that I genuinely enjoy the process again.
Next up is the Auckland Marathon, followed by Ironman New Zealand in March 2027. Strength training is also a huge part of my life. I love getting stronger and knowing it helps me stay healthy and injury-free.
Outside of WN, I’m the New Zealand Manager for my dream clothing store, and my partner and I run a mobile pizza business together 🍕
When I’m not working or training, I love travelling, relaxing at Waihi Beach, having a few wines, seeing family and friends, and hanging out with my two miniature dachshunds.
So that’s a little more about me 🤎
